It tells me that my player is out of date and to download a new one. (All specs are below of my system). Eventually, I downloaded the uninstall AFP. Restarted Win10 and loaded the new AFP 27 and still no luck. But this time after visiting the BBC weather web page it just showed a grey area with no typeface on it telling me that it is out of date! There is nothing on my antivirus saying there were problems; so am stumped. Any suggestions, please. Or is there anything else I can use that will replace AFP? If not then it's about time there was Thank you OS Version: Microsoft Windows 10 Home, 64 bit-Version 1607 (OS Build ) Processor: AMD A10-7850K Radeon R7, 12 Compute Cores 4C+8G, AMD64 Family 21 Model 48 Stepping 1 Processor Count: 4 RAM: 16327 Mb Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti, -2048 Mb Hard Drives: C: 2793 GB (1825 GB Free); J: 1863 GB (1049 GB Free); Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd., F2A78M-HD2. Can you not use Edge mate? Antares autotune 5 vst crackling. If you have Win 10 Home then Edge is there to use, and AFP is integrated into it. You don't need to install AFP then. Open the Edge browser, click on the three dot menu (top right) click on settings - then 'View Advanced Settings' - then click the slider button to 'Use Adobe Flash Player' Go to the BBC weather site, click on the weather video and when you see the grey screen and the message click on 'Download Flash Player Here' When you click that a drop down tile will appear that says 'Adobe Flash Player blocked. Do you want Adobe Flash to run on this site?' Click 'Allow Once' or 'Always Allow'. Choice is yours. Go back to the weather video, click it and the video will run. Dunno why Flash isn't working in your other browsers, I don't have it installed anymore. But if I feel the need to use Flash I just use it in the Edge browser, as described. Edge is not to everyone's liking, that's for sure But it does have AFP integrated into it and with that come AFP security updates via Windows Updates. Not saying using Edge is the only way to use Adobe Flash but it saves a lot of messing about, for me at least. Edge lets you have AFP enabled or disabled, I don't have it enabled but uTube still works without it - same as it does with Opera etc. So not sure why it isn't working for you. It was just a suggestion. In your first post you asked, 'Or is there anything else I can use that will replace AFP?' My suggestion was that you don't have to, you already have it. It's in Edge. Choice is yours as to whether you use it but I understand why you may not want to because many people don't like it. Flash is gradually being phased out. Many sites now use HTML5 players, and with those you don't need Flash. The BBC use both on the their Website. ![]() On that page you can opt in or opt out of HTML5 or Flash Player. Perhaps using that page will help? As to your problem with AFP in your other browsers, maybe Anupam or someone who uses it can help you there. Deya has shared an excellent link. Adobe Flash Player Activex Setup Installing Tile BacksplashAdobe Flash Player Activex Setup Installing Tile FloorIt contains content which I was going to post myself. Different browsers today use Flash Player differently, and update them differently, as mentioned in that link. Firefox uses NPAPI plugin, whereas Chrome and Opera use PPAPI version, and Chrome updates flash player automatically I think. Don't know about Opera. IE uses ActiveX and its flash player is updated via Windows Updates. No idea about Edge. But since deya says its updated automatically for Edge, you can try using Edge just to check. Adobe Flash Player Activex Setup Installing TilesAnyways, my suggestion would be to use the Flash Player Uninstaller, from here: I don't know whether you used the uninstaller from this link only, or somewhere else. Run it, and it should uninstall Flash Player on your system. Do check Programs and Features, to see if there are any Flash Player versions still installed. Then download the offline setup from here: Browse to the end of that page, where it's titled 'Still having problems?' , and then download the different versions of Flash Player that you want. Although ActiveX isn't required for Windows 10, since it updates automatically via Windows Updates, and it doesn't install from setup.
